“Justice Isn’t Served Until Crime Victims Are”
2005 National Crime Victims Rights Week
Poughkeepsie, NY—Family Services will be honoring National Crime Victims Rights Week from April 10th thru April 16th. During this week, crime victims and survivors, victim service providers, criminal and juvenile justice and allied professionals will join together across America to commemorate the 25th anniversary of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. This year’s theme, “Justice Isn’t Served Until Crime Victims Are,” is a simple yet powerful message that focuses attention on victims’ needs for justice, for comprehensive services, and for the right to be treated with dignity and compassion by our criminal justice system and society. Family Services will be hosting several special events to commemorate this occasion.

TRAC Center Will Survive!
March, 2005 - NYS OCFS announced an award to Family Services, Inc. to continue the TRAC Center, a teen center at the Family Partnership Center. The funding will support staffing and training, recreation, life skills, and tutoring. We’ll introduce Family nights and parents’ nights out. In addition, the Dutchess County Mediation Center will introduce transformative mediation and restorative justice concepts and systems to the staff and participants as an alternative form of dispute resolution. Congratulations, Family Services. We’re delighted that the TRAC Center has a future!
